Floor standing, robust high cycle fatigue tester that is perfectly suited for industrial and academic use.
Rotating beam fatigue testing machine facilitates testing of materials for the generation of S-N curve from which endurance limit can be determined.
Load is applied using dead weights. The sample is made to rotate, and each revolution corresponds to one cycle of stress (S). Motor stops when specimen fails. Number of rotations (N) to failure is recorded. Tests can be conducted over a wide range of loads.
An easy to assembly floating holder applies a test load to the specimen. The other end of the specimen is held in the fixed holder which controls the rotation. The cantilevered arrangement allows the specimen to bend under the test load, and the rotation under bending induces fatigue leading to failure.
A specimen catcher is included and safely catches the cantilevered end when the test specimen fails. The robust design and construction comfortably delivers years of safe and trouble free operation.
The built-in detector automatically identifies specimen failure and instantly shuts-off the system. With the auto shut-off capability, the instrument can be operated unattended, and the digital display continues to display the revolution count value at which the specimen failed for the operator to log.
